READ ALONG TO PRACTICE YOUR ENGLISH AND TO LEARN THE MEANING OF DOWN PAT: So in English, when we say that we have something down pat it means that we know how to do it really, really well. A great example of this would be if you are a musician, and you are learning a new song. When you start practicing the song, at first, you're not very good at it. So as you practice every day on your instrument, eventually, you will have the song down pat. What this means is that you know the song really, really well, and you are able to just do a really good job when you play the song, because you've practiced enough to have the song down pat. I, myself, have the process of making daily videos down pat. I get my microphone, I get my phone, and I find a quiet place like this book room where I can make the video. So I have the process of making daily video lessons for you, daily English lessons down pat. It's really fun to have this down pat, because it lets me make a video for you each and every day, and I really hope that the phrases I'm teaching you are helping you to get the English language down pat. I hope someday, you get to the point where you feel very confident and very sure of yourself when you are speaking the English language.
